This is a feasibility study exploring a single storey roof extension to the existing two storey building in Sale.
The existing flat roof is in a poor state of repair and has not been modified or improved since its original construction. Long-standing damp and leakage problem affecting first floor have become apparent as a result. The proposal suggests a single storey roof extension with a pitched roof to upgrade the leaking flat roof, whilst providing additional accommodation units in the central Town Centre of Sale.
Careful design consideration has been made to ensure the proposed massing responds to the characters of the existing building and the neighbouring building (Mecca Bingo) and have minimal impact on the existing context whilst contributing to the vibrant street views.
