STUDIO CLOUD is a RIBA Chartered Practice based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire.

We are a collaborative practice for architectural design and research, working across disciplinary boundaries, engaging a wide range of scales and modes of practice, and navigating research-based design and practice-based research.

The studio pursues architecture as both an intellectual and a responsive practice, as well as theoretical construct. Each design is a subtle reinvention of architecture from within its own traditions and a unique response to a specific context.

We provide design services for domestic extensions, conversions, new build, Passive House design and retrofit.

We work in and around Sheffield, the Peak District National Park and across the UK.

PASSIVE HOUSE

We are delighted to share that we are now providing Passive House design services.

Passive House is an energy performance standard that provides a high level of comfort and indoor air quality and a significant reduction in space heating requirements compared to the standard practice for UK new builds.

Its focus is on building envelope, and can be applied to any building type.

Passive House applies to new-build as well as retrofit.

Retrofit

We hold Level 5 Diploma in Retrofit Coordination & Risk Assessment as Retrofit Coordinator. We provide retrofit advice services for your house / building, whether it’s aimed at shallow retrofit, medium retrofit or deep retrofit targeting Enerphit or the AECB Retrofit Standard.

Get in touch if you are interested in Passive House or retrofitting your house to bring it to a low energy house!
