We propose a new modular unit for the seaside benches and sun-shading shelters in a coastal area of Cyprus, which is composed by Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) panels, timber beams, polyester sheets, Anti-UV fabrics and fixings. The whole structure touches the land/sand lightly and can be easily deployed, (de)assembled, dismountable and duplicated according to a specific interlocking material tectonics from an East-West interactive tradition.
