The project explores the possibility of having a two storey side extension to an end of terrace house for a family to remain in their dwelling house as their long-term parental care needs. The proposed extension includes a larger and double height kitchen, an extended dining room which connects to the kitchen, a larger first floor bedroom with ensuite, basement conversion with direct access from street, and garden layout to consolidate levels and provide children friendly outdoor space and bike access with discrete refuse storage. The proposed extension maintains the neighbouring properties right of access via the rear garden.
