A (Bath)room of one’s own
Shortlisted for Sheffield Design Awards 2026
February - May 2026
Sector: Renovation, Interior Design
Location: Sheffield
Status: Completed
The renovation reconfigured the existing separate toilet and bathroom of a 1970’s house into a new bathroom with a serene atmosphere for an intergenerational family.
While circulation and efficiency has been maximised, the interior design of pink tiles, yellow bathtub, blue washbasin, and brushed brassware provide a space with joy and energy, inspired by specific cultural principles such as feng shui.
The design creates not only an interior space full of personal myth and memories, but also an architectural carrier of cultural roots and routes.
